That kind of thing is far too inefficient however, and Design's strength is structure construction, such as vehicles, robotics, or buildings. It's not really good for 'modeling', but if you're able to slice and dice objects you may pull it off. The only 3D program I know that contains 0 BS is Autodesk 123D Design, which is 100% free, but has been discontinued by Autodesk. I suggest you try out alternatives before using those programs, but know that GameMaker 2 has trouble accepting vector graphics from other programs that are not Illustrator, and the like. They're expensive, and I really think they're overrated.There's an extreme level of sub-menu surfing that's a turn-off. The complexity is overkill for people just looking to make something without hassle.The thing that connects Illustrator & Photoshop (which have the same amount of features, mind you) to me specifically is: Inkscape is also a worthy free substitute to Illustrator, and I believe it has the same amount of features. It's what I use 95% of the time to create digital artwork. That doesn’t make paint great.Gimp 2 can do everything Photoshop does for free. Sure amazing things can be done with it, but amazing things can be done in paint too. The symmetry tool is amazing, even if a primite variant of it exists in photoshop… And when I say primitive I mean it feels like something from the stone age. The concentric circles tool does the same but for circles. Using the paralell lines ruler allows me to draw perfectly parallel lines quickly and efficiently. These are extensively used and have a wide range of applications. Comic studio is optimized to work with black and white images in high resolutions and it is DESIGNED to work with the cursor-snap rulers. Photoshop is a general-use tool for photo manipulation that can be made to do other stuff. I can do neither in Photoshop because I have to work around the limitations of not having any way to stick the tools to lines. I can do free-form perspective on paper, I can do serious-work perspective on paper and I can do both in Comic Studio thanks to the perspective tool. It is absolutely essential for quick perspective work. The perspective tool owns the crap out of photoshop.
